ABOUT ANDREA AGUIRRE’S ART

I am Andrea, owner and artist behind Andrea Aguirre's Art.

I am a military wife, currently stationed in S. Korea with my husband, two sons, and dog.

I am a self taught artist and I have grown up with some sort of art materials in hand. Surrounded by an artistic family, I've picked up a lot of different skills and techniques over the years. My mother taught me how to shade with colored pencils. My grandma and I would paint happy trees with the help of Bob Ross video's . My sister is amazing with watercolors and her work inspired my own love of watercolor. Then, my husband gifted me an iPad a few years ago, and I have been obsessed with digital painting ever since.

Over the last few years, I have created pet portraits, landscapes, cartoonish family portraits, fanart, a book cover, and even classical art reconstructions. Currently I have an ongoing commission for a computer-based video game that teaches the viewer different strategies for overcoming depression.

Each commission has left its mark on my soul. I learn a little bit more about myself and working with different mediums helps fuel my passion for art.
